Christmas Edition 2017

Hello Family and Friends,

Welcome back to the second edition of our online Christmas greeting.  This year David and Anne celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary by visiting Fredericksburg and having dinner at the restaurant where their reception was held.  Many of you were there in 2007 to celebrate with us and we thought you might appreciate a then and now photo.

In July, we returned to Kill Devil Hills on the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Like last year,  we were lucky enough to enjoy Opa's company for a few days while we were there.  David enjoyed teaching Emily how to boogie board.  Matthew liked digging in the sand and Anne enjoyed reading on the beach.

Another highlight of our summer was celebrating the much anticipated wedding of Auntie Deborah and Uncle Matt.  Emily served as a flower girl and Matthew as a ring bearer.

In May, Emily was in the school play, The Mad Adventures of Mr. Toad.  She was a Lion Cub and had three lines. Emily turned 7 in September and we celebrated her birthday by hosting a Chopped Jr. themed party. This fall, she took clarinet lessons.  Emily lost her first tooth this month.

Matthew, now 4, continues to enjoy Early Steps Bilingual Preschool.  He is in the Zebras class and is speaking a lot of Spanish to us these days.  For his birthday, he received a two-wheel bike with training wheels which he learned to ride quickly and has been enjoying very much.

We hope joy has been your constant companion, peace has warmed your heart and you have felt comfort in the arms of your loved ones this year.  Wishing you health, wealth, and happiness in the new year, with love from our family to yours.
